Golf poems, yeah. I wrote this book with John Pekins, who I have been playing golf with since we were college students living in neighboring boarding houses in Tallahassee. We both had been writing poems about other things, but when we looked around for poems about our sport, we came up as empty as the cup after our first putt. So we decided to write our own. Although my golf days have been pretty few and far between since I moved out to the farm, writing this book was, and continues to be, a very rewarding experience for both of us. Every hole has a tale to tell; in fact it has a different story for every golfer who has ever played it. The poems in this book are our impressions and our stories. The poems below are my own.

Surprise
Loneliness
Golfin Matilda
