When Hurricane Katrina devastated much of Louisiana and Mississippi, thousands of people were left homeless, and
thousands of animals were lost in the storm or abandoned when their owners fled the disaster areas. Immediately following
the storm, I was looking for organizations that would be going in to rescue animals and taking in supplies for
the animals, so that I could donate and offer help. When I couldn't find any, I went to my friends and asked
them to donate supplies which I would take into
the disaster area. This led to a series of trips from North Florida to Mississippi,
hauling a three-horse trailer loaded with feed, hay, medical supplies, and helping hands.
After each of these trips, I sent out a report to all the people who so generously gave supplies throughout the months
of recovery. These reports follow, The dates noted are when the trips were actually made. The actual email reports went
out a few days later.
